Special Programs
Music Therapy
Fox Therapy Inc. is now offering music therapy for
individuals with developmental disabilities. Nathan Fox, LISW has completed a
twelve week pedagogy class with Steve Wiseman, author of Special Music for
Special People. This program was first developed by Mr. Wiseman through the University
of Kansas in order to teach
individuals with developmental disabilities how to read and play piano music.
Through Fox Therapy Inc. our clients will be able to work on
psychosocial skills such as self-esteem, the recognition and communication of
emotions and basic hand/eye coordination through the Special Music for Special
People music therapy program. Best of all they will be able to learn to read
music and play simple versions of classic and contemporary songs.
