Behavior Therapy and Psychotherapy
Behavior Therapy
Fox Therapy Inc. provides behavior therapy and behavior
support consultation services for individuals with developmental disabilities
on the DD (Developmental Disabities) Waiver. Nathan Fox, LISW has seven years of experience in New Mexico
working with individuals and their families through the DD Waiver. He is considered
by many case managers as one of the best behavior therapists in the region
because of his ability to offer client specific positive behavior support plans
and his extensive knowledge of the neurological foundation of numerous
diagnoses.
Fox Therapy Inc. is recommended by teachers from both public and private
schools in order to address the clinical needs of children with behavioral
problems and major mental illnesses including bi-polar disorder, anxiety
disorder and attachment disorder. The company is effective in addressing these
issues because of the strong emphasis on collaboration with teachers, parents,
doctors and therapists from other disciplines that Nathan Fox employs. In his
experience Nathan has come to recognize that in order to create lasting change
in a child’s behavior, the adults in the child’s life need to commit to a
consistent and comprehensive unified approach. Children therefore learn to
trust their environment and take responsibility for their actions. This is a
necessary component of the healthy development of self-esteem and compassion
in any child.
Psychotherapy
Fox Therapy Inc. provides individual, group and family
therapy with a strong psychotherapeutic approach for adolescents and adults. Nathan
Fox utilizes this approach in order to help clients gain insight into the
ways in which people develop unhealthy patterns in their lives. He helps his
clients identify specific goals which they work toward with the clinical
support of the therapist.
Nathan has extensive experience in working with minority
groups such as African-American families, Hispanic families, the GBLT community
and individuals with physical disabilities.
